About Mrs. Mailbox
Functional objects. Crafted as art.
Thoughtfully designed, handcrafted, and built with care — roadside elements that feel considered.

Our Story
Where It Began
The idea behind Mrs. Mailbox began more than 20 years ago — with a single mailbox that demanded attention.
It wasn't loud or oversized.
It was simply beautifully made.
That moment stayed with us. Over time, it became clear: while mailboxes are everywhere, very few are designed with intention. Most are treated as utilities — not as objects that contribute to the character of a home.
At Mrs. Mailbox, we believe a mailbox can be more.
Each piece we create is thoughtfully designed, handcrafted, and built with care. These roadside elements are meant to feel considered — visually striking yet grounded, expressive yet timeless.

The People Behind the Work
Two Roles. One Vision.

Designer & Fabricator
Garrett
Garrett is the designer, fabricator, and installer behind each piece.
His background spans fine art, technical trades, auto-body work, custom signage, and more than two decades in the fencing industry. In 2005, he founded All Fenced In, supplying high-quality installations for architects and landscape designers.

Operations & Experience
Brandi
Brandi leads the experience behind the scenes.
Detail-driven and deeply people-focused, she brings years of customer service and administrative expertise. From first inquiry to final installation, Brandi ensures every interaction reflects the same care as the product itself.
A Decisive Moment
When Everything Shifted
The vision for Mrs. Mailbox existed quietly for decades.
In April 2025, a life-changing moment shifted everything. That was when we chose to fully commit — transitioning from a custom fencing background into a focused pursuit: redefining what a mailbox can be.
Not as a commodity.
But as a designed object.
Our Process
A Thoughtful Sequence
Each project follows a thoughtful and deliberate sequence:
-
01
Concepts begin as hand sketches
-
02
Posts are measured and cut from steel or dimensional lumber
-
03
Brackets are fabricated and fitted to the post
-
04
A mounting plate is installed
-
05
The mailbox is secured using precision hardware
-
06
The site is carefully prepared
-
07
The post is set in the ground with concrete
-
—
A functional sculpture takes its place.

Materials With Intention
Chosen for Character & Longevity
We work with materials chosen for character and longevity:

Steel & Stone
American-made steel, stone, brass, and bronze

Finished Surfaces
Powder-coated, painted, charred, or naturally patinated finishes

Wood & Timber
Reclaimed 200-year-old barn beams, milled lumber, and solid logs

Natural Aging
Each material is allowed to age naturally, developing depth and presence over time.
The Meaning Behind the Name
Strength & Approachability
The name Mrs. Mailbox reflects the balance we care about most: strength with approachability.
-
A woman-owned business
-
A name that feels human and memorable
-
A brand where asking questions feels welcome, not intimidating
Design should feel confident — not cold.
Looking Forward
Mrs. Mailbox was built on a simple idea:
that everyday objects deserve thoughtful design.
We create pieces meant to elevate neighborhoods, endure the seasons, and feel at home for years to come.
Functional objects. Crafted as art.
